The internship or co-op role within the Alkermes R&D Applications group resides at the intersection of science and technology, and will delve into business applications and advanced information technologies. Life science companies are facing increasing pressure to manage their data with the highest standards of integrity and compliance. This position’s primary role will be to learn, execute, lead, and advance the data integrity practices across the Waltham site. In addition to the responsibility of data integrity, the role will expect to provide project analytical support for critical global IT initiatives, which enable the Alkermes scientific product lifecycle. You will be assigned projects that contribute to the R&D IT strategy, as well as assist with daily activities within the R&D Application functions. You will collaborate with experienced technical experts and strategists, to ensure we are managing and executing assigned projects and deliverables in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities and deliverables may include but are not limited to:
- Execute assessments, evaluate practices, and make recommendations regarding GxP data policies, procedures, and management
- Support the execution of key deliverables on R&D roadmap (NuGenesis ELN & SDMS Upgrade)
- Review and evolve current processes for Process Development, and support eBR requirements elicitation, design, and implementation (e.g. business process flows)
- Technical documentation
- Team meeting support
Candidates for this role will need leverage educational backgrounds in information systems, life science/healthcare, or traditional bio/chemistry education.
