Job Description

The Department of Physics will host a National Science Foundation sponsored REU focused on condensed matter physics, and materials physics. Students who are US Citizens from across the country are eligible to apply.  Research positions span various Penn State departments and are open to undergraduate students from all across the country who are majoring in physics, chemistry, material science, all branches of engineering, applied math, etc. and have an interest in materials research and condensed matter physics. Research topics vary over a wide range of topics focusing on experimental, theoretical and computational materials related physics, engineering and chemistry research.
